About

Rummi-Con started in 2019 as part of the senior festival in Mountbatten constituency. 102 seniors from 5 Active Ageing Centres (AACs) participated in the inaugural event. In 2023 the event was supported by the Fun-Fund administered by the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC), held at Bedok Heartbeat; 232 seniors represented 20 AACs.

In 2025, Rummi-Con was hosted at Our Tampines Hub (OTH) to allow participation to scale up to 500 seniors.

Purpose

The purpose of Rummi-Con is to promote the cognitive and social well-being of seniors through engaging table gameplay, with Rummikub as a fun and stimulating medium. This event celebrates excellence and mastery in Rummikub gameplay and fosters an inclusive community where seniors can connect, compete, and cheer one another on.

By showcasing the skills and achievements of Rummikub teams, Rummi-Con aims to create aspirational goals that motivate others to learn, improve, and be part of a larger community.
